This course examines theories of ethics and how ethics impacts leadership and organizations. The course surveys traditional ethical theories, including virtue theory, utilitarianism and deontological ethics through discussion of the main principles of the theories and examination of case studies that illustrate the theories. Special attention is paid to the ethical dimensions of leadership in organizations by looking at different models for organizations and the role of leaders in these models. The course also enhances students' abilities to articulate their responses through frequent writing and oral presentations.
