Students who wish to complete a bachelor's degree may have the opportunity to apply college credits toward their degree, provided they were earned at regionally or professionally accredited educational institutions. RMU holds matriculation agreements with most two-year educational institutions.

CLEP

The College Level Examination Program (CLEP) is a series of individual tests for various college-level courses. The tests provide the opportunity to gain college credit for knowledge acquired through independent study. If you are interested in taking a CLEP examination, speak with an admissions concierge to make sure you are taking the correct examination in order for credit to be applied toward your degree program.

American Council on Education (ACE)

If you have ever taken courses in the workplace or from training providers, completed a union apprenticeship program, earned a certification or served in the military, you may have earned college credit to apply toward your degree program. Find out how to use ACE credit recommendations to advance their personal and career goals by contacting an admissions concierge today. Call 800-762-0097.

Prior Learning Assessment (PLA)

If you have extensive knowledge in a subject that is taught at the college level, the Prior Learning Assessment (PLA) process might be right for you. PLA is a flexible, efficient way of earning credits for college-level knowledge you have gained outside the traditional classroom. To determine if you are a candidate to earn college credit through PLA, contact an admissions concierge.
